Terms of Service
Last updated: August 26, 2026
These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and CouchTrain. Please read them before using the service.
Welcome to CouchTrain, a service operated by Ardent Marketing (“CouchTrain,” “we,” “us”). By using our website and service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please don't use CouchTrain.
What CouchTrain does
CouchTrain lets an organizer create a simple sign-up page so friends and family can claim a day to visit, bring a meal, or lend a hand. Organizers share a link; visitors sign up without creating an account.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and organize a couch train. By using CouchTrain, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
Your account
Organizers sign in using a one-time link sent to their email. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use CouchTrain to:
- break the law or violate anyone's rights;
- harass, threaten, or deceive others;
- post content that is hateful, abusive, or obscene;
- send spam, or collect people's information under false pretenses;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its data.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add — your train details, welcome notes, and the like. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the service for you. You are responsible for the content you post and for ensuring you have the right to share any information you provide, including details about other people.
Sign-ups and coordination
CouchTrain helps people coordinate, but we are not a party to the arrangements between organizers and their visitors. We don't verify the identity of visitors, and we're not responsible for whether people show up, what they bring, or how visits go. Please use good judgment about who you share your link with and who you invite into your home.
Service availability
We work to keep CouchTrain running smoothly, but we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we don't guarantee the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent allowed by law, CouchTrain disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing on the service is medical, legal, or professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, CouchTrain and Ardent Marketing will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service or from interactions between organizers and visitors.
Indemnification
You agree to hold CouchTrain and Ardent Marketing harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.
Ending your use
You can stop using CouchTrain at any time and delete your trains. We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates these terms or misuses the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use CouchTrain after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
